Van die lewe se grootste “Teenstrydighede”

1. Die persoon wat ware vrede in homself ervaar, is die een wat daardie vrede bereik het deur om te stoei deur konflik, foute, spyt.
2. Die persoon wat lyk of hulle geseënd is, deurdat hulle lewe onaangeraak is deur hartseer, is tipies iemand wat nie vrede of moed binne hulself ervaar nie. So iemand se karakter was nog nie getoets nie, en hy/sy weet nie hoe hulle, selfs ‘n geringe terugslag sal hanteer nie.

Hoeveel waarheid sou jy sê is daar in hierdie 2 gedagtes?

Luk 5:1-11(NIV)

Jesus Calls His First Disciples

5 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret(Gallilee), the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything.

But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”

9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 ….Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

• Ek wonder of jy al ooit so moedeloos was?
• Probeer uit jou eie krag, planne….maak afsprake met “profesionals” Besigheids besluit, Huwelik, Kind, Familielid, Finansies…..ens.
• Ek wonder of jy al ooit soos Simon Petrus gesien het hoe God jou situasie omdraai? Oorweldig en Verbaas? WOW! Ten spyte van my beste pogings het ek steeds misluk.

Here – Ek voel so skaam , nutteloos , Dom , Spyt, Jammer Here dat ek U nie vertrou het hiermee nie.

Jesus gee vir Simon Petrus ‘n Opdrag , Taak , Roeping, Purpose

“Ek wil hê jy moet my koninkryk bou”!!

• Kan jy ‘n dag onthou wat jy weet dat jy weet God deur HG het met jou gepraat en vir jou gevra het: Ek wil hê jy moet iets spesifieks vir my doen.
• Ek wil hê jy moet my koninkryk bou op ‘n spesifieke manier. Daars ‘n spesifieke skill set wat ek vir jou gegee het, wat niemand anders het nie. Opdrag, Taak , Purpose

– Petrus begin dadelik – vuur en flam. Hy wil net hardloop.

– 3 Jaar wandel hy saam met Jesus en leer baie oor die roeping wat Jesus vir hom gegee het.

– Hy is nie bang nie – vat baie risikos…

– Sê ek sal Jesus beskerm en ondersteun in alles (Hy was eintlik ook so bietjie arrogant, self-versekerd, trots)

– Probeer op water loop

– Challenge vir Jesus toe hy sê dat die kruisdood die rede is waarvoor Jesus aarde toe gekom het.

– Sê maklik “Ek sal dood gaan vir Jesus”

– Sny die Hoë priester se dienskneg se oor met swaard af.

– Agresief, Lojaal, So passievol oor sy roeping, hy doen soms dinge sonder om te dink.

MAAR – na 3 jaar se wandel saam met Jesus – op die oomblik toe dit regtig saak maak, harloop hy weg en gaan kruip weg in die donker. Later verloon hy Jesus 3 keer voordat die haan kraai.

– Petrus is oorweldig met Hartseer, Mislukking, Spyt, Teleurstelling, Skaamte

• Ek wonder of jy al ooit so gevoel het? Ek het al baie keer.
• Wat dinge nog erger maak is dat Jesus toe gekruisig word en Simon Petrus doen niks.

Kan jy jouself indink wat in Simon Petrus se binneste aangegaan het, in die dae nadat Jesus begrawe is?

• Soos ons weet het Jesus toe weer uit die dood opgestaan en weer ‘n keer of wat aan die dissipels ‘n vinnige verskyning gemaak maar as hulle weer kyk is hy weg.

Ek wonder op Simon Petrus nie dalk in ‘n depressie geval het nie?

• Vir 40 dae het Petrus gewonder of hy nog steeds waardig is om ‘n dissipel van Jesus genoem te word.
• Hy het nie die kans gehad om dinge tussen hom en Jesus reg te stel nie.
• Hy het nie geweet wat om te doen nie, so toe wat doen hy?
• Hy gaan terug visvang toe. Terug na die “ou manier” van dinge doen.

John 21:3 – 17(NIV)

3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. 6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. 7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.[c] 9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

• Wat het Jesus eintlik hier gedoen?
• Langs dieselfde oewer, In dieselfde water, doen Jesus dieselfde wonderwerk.
  Hy vat vir Petrus terug na die begin toe.
• Hy gee hom die geleentheid om weer van voor af te begin.

Jesus Reinstates Peter

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep”.

Jesus vra nie vir Petrus om rekenskap te gee van sy optrede nie. Hy vat vir Petrus eenkant toe, sonder om hom in die verleentheid te stel en sy tekort kominge onder sy neus te waai, en vra op ‘n sagte en liefdevolle manier vir Petrus om sy liefde aan Jesus te her-bevestig.

• Petrus verloon vir Jesus 3 keer op dieselfde manier, maar Jesus vra hom 3 keer dieselfde vraag sodat hy weer voor kan begin, en sodoende sy liefde vir Jesus te her-bevestig.
• Jesus kom met vergifnis, en in liefde, en restoreer vir Petrus terug na sy oorspronklike roeping, purpose, na die opdrag wat Jesus oorspronklik vir hom gegee het.

Ek wonder of iemand hier sit vandag, wat net soos Petrus, met dieselfde skaamte, spyt, teleurstelling in homself?

Het HG al vir jou gesê: “You are purpose built”. “One of a kind”

– Ek glo vanoggend gee God vir jou ‘n geleentheid om dinge reg te stel.

-God wil jou terug vat na die begin!

– Toe Hy jou geroep het vir ‘n spesifieke taak, opdrag, purpose.

GOD sê vanoggend vir jou:

• Los dit wat in die verlede gebeur het in die verlede en laat MY toe om jou te herhinder wat jou spesifieke opdrag, roeping, purpose, was.
• Ek wil dit kom restoreer.

Nagmaal: Gebruik hierdie geleentheid (soos Petrus) om jou liefde vir God te herbevestig.

• Hy vra nie vir ons om nuwe voornemens te maak of om volgende keer harder te probeer nie. Bo enige iets wat jy kan “reg doen” – soek God jou liefde.

Rom 8:35, 38, 39 (NIV)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
